Are you ready for Christmas?

It's hard to believe Christmas music and displays are up at Hell-Mart, but they are. It's all good, though. We get our tree the weekend following Thanksgiving, so I suppose it's time. Here's a little ditty I enjoy listening to each year (White Trash Christmas by Zach Tison) set to lights on a house. If anything, give the song a listen. It cracks me up.

Are you ready for Christmas?

Renfield News and Dead Reviews!

Just a quick update.  You all know The Renfield Syndrome is done, but I had to pass along these awesome reviews I received for Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between recently.  I'm still amazed, awed, and humbled at the response and thank all of you for the continued support.

If you're interested, click the links below to read the reviews. :) Thanks Spinecracker and Supernaturalsnark!

The Renfield Syndrome = DONE

Hey Everyone,

Yesterday, something really weird happened. I knew I was waaaayyy behind, as I said I'd use NANO to finish TRS, and thus far I was only around 34k or so. While that is good, I knew how difficult it is to finish up, so I locked myself away in my office, determined to get some writing done.

I didn't stop until late yesterday afternoon, and by the time I did I'd written 15.8k words (or something to that extent) and my NANO count topped out at 49.5K.  I'm going to write something small, just to get the 50k words, but I'm just letting you know that as of now, The Renfield Syndrome is done.  I'm cleaning up the MS now and then it's off to my CP's.

Now please, keep this in mind -- if my CP's or my Mom (who I run EVERYTHING by) says no-go, that means it's time to serious revisions, which can take time.  However, for the most part, the story is finished and I hope they like it.

Thanks for the well wishes.  We're still mending here, but now that I feel like I can breathe and that project is finished, I'm very eager to dive directly into The Company of Wolves.

Visiting Spinecracker

Quick note: I'm visiting Spinecracker today, answering questions, and she's giving away a copy of Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between.  Interested? Head on over!

The Renfield Syndrome Snippet #6

Here is another one. I have two sick children in the house, so I won't get much writing done today. ;-(

Rhiannon’s Law #68: If you’re going to fly by the seat of your pants, rock out with your cock out. The landing is going to hurt either way, and you might as well make an impression when you nail it.
