As many of you may (or may not) know I get incredibly nervous on release day (Enemy Mine is now available for purchase). Usually I force myself offline and avoid social networks. The day is spent terrified, waiting for someone to tell me I suck. I pace, I chew my nails, and I go nuts. So when I found out I was going to the zoo with my son, I was thrilled. I decided to make a day of it, bringing along my mother and baby girl. Below are a few images of our day (I updated using Instagram on my Facebook for the hubs, who couldn't join us). It was the best release day I can ever remember having. We had a blast!
Thanks again for all your support! I was so happy (and shocked) when I learned a few bloggers shared the news about release. If it's not over yet, Bells at Hanging with Bells is doing a giveaway -- a $10 GC at Ellora's Cave. Interested?

I'm back to work. I'll post updates soon. For those who asked, Enemy Mine will be on Amazon and other third party retailers soon.

Congrats on your release! I'm stopping by Amazon right after this to buy it :) Between your book and Jenn Bennett's Summoning the Night (early arrival at the local SF and Fantasy book store) I'll have a busy reading weekend! Your kids are adorable!! So cute. I'm really looking forward to trips to places like the zoo when my son get a little bit older.
Hey Annika! Thank you! :) The book isn't up on Amazon yet but should be soon. :)
Oh, I am so sorry that you get so twisted with release day, but you know you have us fans of yours supporting you. Your books are great hon and as soon as Enemy Mine is up on Kindle, I will snag it. I'll also share on FB too because I know others will want to read it as well. It was great though that you got to share the day at the zoo with your family and that probably went a long way in helping you deal. That pic of all of you is absolutely precious! :)
Hey Phillis~
You are so sweet! TY for your comments and for chatting with me (here and on FB). I can't tell you how much it means to me. :)
Jamie, it is a writer thing so I completely understand. Every time I release a book, I wonder if anyone will like it, whether it is complete crap. You are an extremely talented writer and you have your fans. Breathe, spend time with your children and spouse and remember you can't please everyone. Definitely looking forward to this release and The Ripple Effect. ;-)
I cannot wait to read this book. I've literally been stalking Amazon. You are amazing!
